We made 3-D maps of our classroom out of math supplies in our class. Our maps were required to be a birds-eye view of the classroom. (A birds-eye view is from the top looking down.) The most challenging part was getting all of the supplies that we needed. Some groups got too many supplies while other groups had to go back and get more because they ran out. This challenge helped us practice working together and thinking like an artist. Below are 3 pictures of our work.
The blue hundred plate is our carpet and the blocks around it are our bookshelves.
We used mostly Unifix cubes to make our map.
This map is unique because this group used mostly hundred plates.
